This, the first, will celebrate the feast day of Bl. John Henry Newman. I was first exposed to Newman at Ball State, where I began to look into his works and learn more about him. He was a brilliant and holy man.
On Monday, October 21st at 7:30pm at St. Mary Mother of God Church there will be a Pontifical Mass in the Extraordinary Form in honor of Bl. Karl of Austria. Karl was the last emperor of Austria and apostolic king of Hungary, and he is someone to whom I have a particular devotion (perhaps given my largely Austro-Hungarian roots). I have written briefly about him here.
